Triathlon “Lanorteman” Final leg 2016

The Final leg of Lanorteman 2016 ended with great compassion towards camaraderie and sportsmanship, it was held at Sultan Naga Dimaporo. Previously the 1st and 2nd leg was held at Kolambugan and Tubod respectively.

The race began early in the morning and started at the Pikalawag Beach for the 750 meters swim followed by a 20 km bike towards near Tukuran the Boundary between Lanao del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur then a 10 km to finish the race at the Municipal hall of the town and that is for the sprint type of race, the standard race doubles the distance of all those three, 1,250 meters swim, 40 km bike and 20 km run.

There are 285 tri-athletes who competed the race to test on who is at peak human body condition, there are also elite tri-athletes who joined the event. They are Jonard Saim – Team Unilab, Paul Jumamil and Banjo Norte – Omega Tri, Brian Borling – Team Herbalife and LC Langit.

 “Actually the best ang tubig diri sa Lanorteman maayo, maayo katong last 2nd leg wala koy problema sa tubig, actually naa ko allergy sa dagat eventually mag katol-katol so far sa leg 2 ug leg 3 wala jud ko katli so pasabot kung naa mn gali event sa lanorteman dula lang gihapon ko.” –Romy “Maldita” Naciongayo a Veteran tri-athlete who also competed during the 2nd leg of the Lanorteman series.

“Pirting Nindota jud ang wala nako mabati sa tanang games diri nako na feel ang pinaka best, bahin sa atong gobernor sa lanao norte libo-libo jud akong pasalamat para ani nga event kay nalipay ko labi napud diri sa LGU sa poblacion” –Mr. Ali “Lapu” a beginner and a 1st timer of the triathlon event.

The Final leg of Lanorteman Triathlon series was made possible through the efforts of the provincial Governor Imelda “Angging” Dimaporo, Transition Productions and the Local Government Units of Sultan Naga Dimaporo specially Mayor Ulwan Dimaporo and Vice-Mayor Motalib Dimaporo. PIO-LDN
