Provincial employees listen to one of the resource speakers from PopCom-10 during the Gender Sensitivity Training held on July 13 to 15 at MCC Hotel, Tubod town.
Tubod, Lanao del Norte – More than 20 provincial employees were handpicked by the provincial government throught its Provincial Population Office (PPO) to undergo the three-day trainors’ training on Gender Sensitivity.
The selected participants will be the core group to help promote gender equality and address gender issues in the workplace especially government offices in this fast-rising province.
The workshop started on July 13 to 16, 2015 at MCC Hotel Function Hall, in Brgy. Sagadan, Tubod town.
“We see the need to raise trainors among provincial employees so they can help the PPO in transforming government employees most especially our provincial personnel become more gender sensitive”, explained PPO Head Ananette Daniel.
The workshop was facilitated by PPO staff and Population Commission – Region 10 personnel.
Among the topics presented were Gender Concepts, Gender Socialization, Gender Issues in Households and Communities, Manifestations of Gender Issues and How to Pursue Gender Equality. VNL/PIO-LDN
