Employees of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte relive the traditional Filipino games. On September 29, 2017, teams represented by different colours assembled in Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center in Pigcarangan, Tubod. This is in line with the celebration of the 117th Civil Service Anniversary organized by the Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office.
One of the traditional games played by the employees is the Palosebo (greased bamboo pole climbing). In this game, players will attempt to climb the greased bamboo pole. The objective of the game is for the player to reach the top of the pole first where the prize is placed inside the small bag; usually the bag contains money or toys.
Players of each team gamely participated in the event not minding the grease all over them. This is what Provincial Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo likes to see. Although there is this eagerness to win but the Spirit of Sportsmanship will continue to strengthen the camaraderie among provincial government employees as a team and a family as a whole by working together as one unit in providing services to the people and for the progress and development of the Province of Lanao del Norte, “The Land of Beauty and Bounty.” PIO-LDN
