Ravanera of Xavier Science Foundation, Inc. inked the agreement to signify the partnership of the two institutions for Women Organization Managing Agri-based Networks (WOMAN) for a Sustainable Society.
WOMAN for a sustainable project was created to help the women of the province to have their own sustainable livelihood by forming an organization in their respective municipalities or communities. Xavier Science Foundation, Inc. started the project five years ago supported by the United States Embassy. It begun in Northern Mindanao, several women projects were supported by the foundation. Due to its success the US Government along with its partner agencies in the US decided to continue the project.
In the province of Lanao del Norte, the foundation has identified 132 leaders from all municipalities. These leaders were trained focusing on Agri-based entrepreneurship. The project aims to assist the leaders to come up with their own initiative after being trained on financial management, organizational management in terms of marketing and production.
Xavier Science Foundation, Inc. is grateful to the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte led by Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo for the support she has given to the foundation.
