Tubod, Lanao del Norte – Seven towns from this progressive province are set to receive more than P250-million worth of infrastructure projects from the Department of Agriculture (DA).
The announcement was made during the visit of DA Secretary Proceso Alcala in Lanao del Norte on April 22 to 23, 2015.
Among the towns to benefit from this support for their local agri-sector from national government are Munai, Kapatagan, Sultan Naga Dimaporo (SND), Baroy, Tubod, Kauswagan, and Lala.
Funded projects include construction of diversion dam and multi-purpose drying pavement (MPDP) project for the interior town of Munai; construction of small water impounding pond, rehabilitation of diversion dam, concreting of farm-to-market roads for Kapatagan; construction of diversion dam for SND; concreting of farm-to-market road for Baroy; concreting of farm-to-market road for Tubod, organic trading post (2nd tranche) for Kauswagan; and construction of three barangay food terminals, MPDP project, concreting of farm-to-market road for Lala town.
“We really feel the progress and development under the Aquino administration. He (Secretary Alcala) is clearly delivering the marching order of President PNoy na ‘kayo ang boss ko’”, said Governor Khalid Dimaporo.
During his visit, Secretary Alcala also distributed fishing gears thru its attached agency BFAR to coastal communities in Linamon and Maigo.
