Tubod, Lanao del Norte – More than 30 provincial employees from the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Lanao del Norte undergo a two-day Legislative workshop at MCC Hotel, Tubod town, this province.
The workshop aims to train the legislative staff on the correct preparation and composition of resolutions, ordinances, committee reports, journals, and minutes. The activity was designed to enhance the technical writing skills of SP personnel especially the newly hired local legislative staff of provincial board members.
During her speech, Vice-Governor Maria Cristina Atay encouraged the employees to be outstanding public servants in their chosen field by constantly performing their job well particularly in the drafting of summary reports and other legislative documents.
In the training proper, Acting SP Secretary Rowena Dapar taught the participants on the principles of ‘Taking down notes and Writing of Minutes of the Meeting’. She also gave actual samples for the group to critique.
SP Consultant Jesus Tubio, Jr. then noted the difference between committee hearing from committee meeting. Tubio further shared his knowledge on the proper drafting of resolutions and ordinances.
For his part, Governor Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo also urged the provincial employees to deliver excellent service to the people of Lanao del Norte and be model public servants. PR/SP-LDN
