Tubod, Lanao del Norte – More than P16-million pesos from the congressional funds of the 1st and 2nd District of this province have been earmarked by both Representatives for medical and educational assistance to indigent residents of Lanao de Norte.
The cash assistance was included in the approved 2015 budget and is distributed to qualified indigent families and individuals this year.
“Me and my family are very much thankful to Congressman Bobby Dimaporo for his medical assistance program. This money is a big help in buying the medicines that I need for my recovery”, expressed Flordeliza Romagos of Sultan Naga Dimaporo town.
Both congressional offices have been accepting applications for assistance since February this year. To date, several families who passed the criteria have already received their monetary aid.
For interested individuals who wish to avail of medical assistance, he or she should have been previously confined in the hospital or is suffering from the illness for an extended period. Applicants must include in their assistance application their medical records, medical certificate, certificate of indigency from the barangay LGU, case study from the social worker of the municipality or provincial government.
The amount of the medical assistance will vary according to the need of the patient and severity of his illness.
To avail of educational assistance, interested applicants must be graduating high school and college students for school year 2014 to 2015. Together with their application form, applicants must also submit school billings or statements of account, certificate of indigency, social case study, certificate of registration, and valid school I.D. card.
Indigent families are encourage to avail of this financial assistance provided by Representatives Abdullah Dimaporo (2nd Congressional District) and Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo (1st Congressional District). LAR & VNL/PIO-LDN
