Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo shared an inspiring message to all would be retiring government employees in Lanao del Norte during the Pre-Retirement Seminar organized by GSIS-Iligan on November 23, 2017 at Mindanao Civic Center Gazebo, Tubod.
The Governor expressed her sincerest appreciation to the government employees present in the seminar who are about to retire for the years they have rendered in serving the people.
The participants were encouraged by Governor Angging to be productive even after retirement. Giving example to the P400 million worth of investment in Lanao del Norte for Abaca. A processing plant will soon be constructed in Miraic in the Municipality of Linamon bordering the Municipality of Matunggao. “Utilize your farmland; try to plant Abaca…even just a little. Though you are retired, you can still gain from it and can hand it over to your children after.”
“Invest!” what the Governor said to the attendees. Investing correctly and with proper consultation from the government agencies like the GSIS. This Pre-Retirement Seminar is essential in providing information to future retirees in the province.
“I am happy and thankful that GSIS-Iligan has initiated this Pre-Retirement Seminar for the government employees here in Lanao del Norte. It is more convenient for the employees in the province to attend this seminar because if it takes place in Iligan it needs a lot of preparation in going there. I hope that more of this will come in the coming years,” said the Governor.
The Governor as well proudly informed the Manager of GSIS-Iligan, Alexis D. Arumpac and its personnel that the Province of Lanao del Norte remains peaceful. The development can be seen in its municipalities, from the Municipality of Linamon to the Municipality of Sultan Naga Dimaporo. Residents have started to invest in their municipalities and businessmen from nearby areas have come to Lanao del Norte to put up some businesses in the province.
Governor Angging told the soon to be retirees that “You should enjoy the fruits nga inyong gihagu-an for many years.” But reminded them to be wise in spending the cash they will received after retirement. PIO-LDN
