Governor Angging Graced the Hand-Over Ceremony of 2 Elementary Classrooms and Basketball Covered Court at Brgy. Licapao

Governor Angging Graced the Hand-Over Ceremony of 2 Elementary Classrooms and Basketball Covered Court at Brgy. Licapao.

July 12 – Teachers and Residents of Barangay Licapao welcomed Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo in the hand-over ceremony of the two elementary classrooms and the newly built basketball covered court. The Licapao Angels, the children’s dance group and the Barangay Licapao Women’s Organization performed dance number inside the recently finished covered court to show their gratitude to Governor Angging for the support she has given to the people of the barangay through its council. These two projects was realised when the Governor was still the 1st District Representative of Lanao del Norte.

Governor Angging was happy to visit the place and talk to the people after a long time. When the former 1st District Representative won as the Provincial Chief Executive in last year’s election she then spent more time in her office reviewing and checking documents. The Governor is not used to sit whole day in her office for she likes to be with the people more often, good thing Ms. Sittie Aminah Quibranza-Dimaporo willingly accepted the position as Executive Secretary of the province to do all the reviewing and checking of the documents before submitting to the Governor. To be with the constituents is the best part of being a government official. It is the time where Governor Angging can talk to the people and personally hears their sentiments and longings. This is the reason why Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo is so loved by the people of the province. Governor Angging is a pro-active leader and the mother of the province, she initiates programs that will bring development and progress to the peaceful province of Lanao del Norte together with 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza-Dimaporo and 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah “Bobby” Dimakuta Dimaporo.

School In-Charge of Licapao Elementary School, Maria Gemma Maglangit is thankful to Governor Angging for the new two units of classrooms intended for Day Care and Grade Six students of Barangay Licapao. The two classrooms would help improved the learning environment conditions and boost the learning ability of students. Education is one of the many programs that the Quibranza-Dimaporo Initiative is giving importance which is included in the Inclusive Growth Plan (IGP). Improving the quality of education in the province of Lanao del Norte starts by providing students and teachers classrooms that are conducive to learning.

Barangay Captain Ambrosio J. Cabugnason expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the people of Barangay Licapao to Governor Angging for the unwavering support extended to them. The project in Barangay Licapao is only one of the eight projects given by Governor Angging when she was then the 1st District Representative. Other barangays are San Antonio, Tubaran, Malingao, Pualas, Camp V, Bualan and Sto. Niňo.

Councilor Amay Samaniego of the Municipality of Tubod attended the occasion on behalf of Mayor Leoncio Bagol who is in Cagayan de Oro for an official meeting; Barangay Captain of Kalilangan, Jonathan Artuyo; Barangay Captain of Pinpin, Primo Capule; Barangay Captain of Malingao, Cirilo Apao and Barangay Captain of Sto. Niňo, Paul Aguinid witnessed the ceremony along with the representatives from DILG, Luz Talandron and the Budget Officer of the municipality.

Governor Angging reminded the people and the barangay officials to be vigilant and observant at all times in their community and report any new faces present in their area to the Philippine National Police or to the Armed Forces of the Philippines, in her words: “Kamo nga naa sa mga barangay mao among gi-saligan nga mao’y mohatag ug protection sa atong pinang-gang lalawigan, kinahanglan mag bantay giud kita. Kung kana mahitabo dinhi sa atong lalawigan (simba ko lang palayo) kita mao’y makalolo-uy, mawad-an kita ug panimalay, mawad-an kita ug panginabuhi. Kinahanglan magpakabana gayud kitang katawhan kay atong ka-pulisan and atong mga militar dili kana nila ma akupar tanan kung kitang mga katawhan dili usab mo tabang kanila”.

In addition, the Governor encouraged the people to cooperate with the government in sustaining the peace and order of the province for the continuous development and progress of Lanao del Norte, “The Land of Beauty and Bounty”. PIO-LDN
