Tubod, Lanao del Norte – More than 300 children from the coastal town of Kolambugan became the special guests of Congresswoman Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo during her latest birthday celebration on January 15, 2015.
The instant children’s party was held at the multi-purpose hall of Brgy. Sto Niño, Kolambugan town.
The children were treated to dance presentations, song renditions, and parlor games by the local municipal employees, Provincial Volunteer Health Workers (PVHWs) and Provincial Community Affairs Office (PCAO) personnel.
The lady lawmaker brought with her the highly-popular Jollibee mascot to surprise the kids. Accompanying Representative Dimaporo to the gathering are her daughter Aminah, son Abdul and her two grandsons Noah and Adam.
Congresswoman Dimaporo personally distributed food packs to the excited children and gave out snacks to accompanying parents and residents present.
In support of the children’s outreach activity, Kolambugan mayor Lorenzo Mañigos also gave prizes to winners of the parlor games.
“I decided to celebrate my birthday with kids this year. For me, happiness with kids is different, it’s special. Now that I have grandchildren of my own, kids mean so much to me that is why I choose to spend my birthday with the kids here in Kolambugan”, said Congresswoman Dimaporo.
