TUBOD – Six Families from the Municipality of Sapad who have been on RIDO have finally set aside their differences and reconciled before the holy Qur’an, Local Government Officials and their family relatives. The families were Mamalampac, Dimasangca, Acraman, Macarao, Santos and Macauyag.
At the settlement ceremony, held at Macapagal Training Center all six families claimed murder against each other but with the unrelenting drive for peace and order the provincial officials did their best to end the feud between the families.
The families promised to end the conflict and encourage peace and order in ways they can, Vice Governor Maria Cristina Navarro Atay along with Board Members Ronda Maruhom, Tawantawan Cauntongan, Marivic Ramos and Superman Usop oversaw the settlement.
RIDO settlement is one of the PGLDN’s front-runners in promoting and maintaining peace and order within the province because RIDO can cause destruction of property, crippling local economy, and displacing families.
Ending a RIDO not only saves lives but it can also leave the conflicted area a potential for development and progress for the betterment of the province and its people.
Progress through Peace and Unity has been the battle-cry of the people of Lanao del Norte, with this we can move forward hand in hand together towards a developed and progressive province. PIO-LDN
