TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of this province, headed by Annabelle Mendez, distributed 33 wheelchairs and 16 artificial legs/prosthetics to PWDs (Persons with Disabilities) on Thursday, January 12, 2023.

 

It is a yearly activity of the Provincial Government, through the initiative of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Dela Cruz Quibranza, to provide assistance and a positive outlook to the PWDs. As the Governor had an equally important matter to attend, she made sure that aside from the assistive devices, the 49 beneficiaries were also provided with food packs, 10kg of rice, 6 canned sardines, and 6 canned meat loaf each.

 

Gina Baculao, one of the beneficiaries and a resident of Butadon, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, said, “Mapasalamaton kaayo kog dako kay matag-tuig naga hatag ang atoang gobyerno sa amoa na mga PWD. Daghang salamat sa atong Governador sa pag-atiman sa amoa.”

 

On behalf of Governor Angging, Atty. Mark Christopher Babor welcomed all beneficiaries and assured them of the contiuous support of the Provincial Government, saying, “Sinisiguro ng ating mga leaders na kayo ay mabigyan ng sapat at tamang serbisyo na inyong kailangan.
