TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – Some 2,918 recipients of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged / Displaced Workers (TUPAD) from the towns in Lanao del Norte recently received their compensation.
 
In a four-day payout activity facilitated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the PGLN Public Employment Service Office (PESO) on November 26-30, 2022, at the Mindanao Civic Center, beneficiaries received Php3,900 each in exchange for their 10 days of community sanitation work within the implementation period of October 12-25, 2022.
 
The funds of the recent payout are accumulated from the counterparts of Senator Joel Jose Villanueva (Php1,900,00), Office of the President (Php 9,800,000), and Senator Binay (Php970,000), with 20% counterpart from the Provincial Government.
 
Former Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, graced the said payout activity to oversee and ensure a smooth process.
 
“Kini na kwarta na inyong nadawatan, gihatag kini para maka tabang sa inyong pang adlaw-adlaw na panginabuhi. Hinaot gamiton kini og sakto sa matag pamilya,” Cong. Dimaporo said.
 
TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers for a minimum period of 10 days f 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days, depending on the nature of work to be carried out. PIO-LDN
