“I want you all to know that by sitting on the floor, I am not punishing you. This is just the way we do it the Maranao way,” Governor Angging, in her welcome speech, fondly said.
Most of the guests were dignitaries from the different government agencies who joined the back-to-back events organized by the Oro Chamber of Commerce.
His Excellency Shambhu Kumaran, Ambassador of India to the Philippines himself, graced the luncheon to convey his support to Governor Angging and experience the beauty and richness of the Maranao culture through the wide range delicacies served.
Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy and Misamis Oriental Governor Peter Unabia, were among the guest of the said Pagana.
Also present were the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice Governor Allan Lim. The Pagana Maranao was made possible through the efforts of the Provincial Tourism Office headed by Alerma Grace Montañez. PIO-LDN
