TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Dela Cruz Quibranza, together with the Local Chief Executives of Baroy and Tubod, Mayor Grilena M. Lim, and Mayor Dionosio Cabahug Jr., graced the cutting of ribbons and ceremonial take over of the newly constructed Tubod-Baroy Water District office.
It is a three-way celebration. Alongside the formal turnover of the new building, TBWD is also celebrating its 40th Anniversary and the blessing of its latest Filtration system situated in the capital town, Tubod.
“It is a 7.2 million water filtration system installed at one of our vital pumping stations, intended to eliminate the water turbidity in every community”, Mr. Andrial Kwan, Chairperson of the TBWD Board of Directors, said.
Governor Angging congratulated the TBWD family through its General Manager, GM Geovanni Hera, and its Board of Directors for their steadfast support and purposeful initiatives for the development of the district.
“With its competent leadership and dynamic management, I am sure that this is just the beginning for the advancement of this district in serving the 2 Municipalities”, Governor Angging reiterated.
Meanwhile, Governor Angging challenged the TBWD personnel with its officers to plant trees to provide sheds and beautification of the said vicinity.
The Chief Executive also appeals for the support of the 2 Mayors in funding the old pipes of the district. “As mentioned, our pipes are over 40 years of their longevity. We need to upgrade them. The Provincial Government is afraid to face this problem alone; thus, we need your support”, Governor Angging emphasized.
On behalf of the entire district office, General Manager Hera expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Provincial Government through Governor Angging for granting this venture.
