
TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – Some 50 elementary students from selected schools in the province were the beneficiaries of the recently launched Adopt a Child Balik Skwela Program of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and Lanao del Norte Provincial Capitol Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LANCEMPCO).
This initiative is part of LANCEMPCO’s corporate social responsibilities as a democratically-controlled enterprise.
Ananette Daniel, the Provincial Population Officer and Manager of LANCEMPCO, said, “Ang LANCEMPCO maoy nag sponsor sa paghatag og school supplies aning mga bataa. Naghatag ta og backpacks, notebooks, ballpens, pencils, pencil case, hygiene kits, dayon naa pud tay raincoat para ma prepare sila sa balik skwela.”
These children beneficiaries were identified by the PSWDO. Some are children of the Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa (PB2) program beneficiaries, solo parents, and PWDs.
Board of Directors of the cooperative, Eugenie Pusing, the Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Officer, Gemma Harun, former Provincial Resource Management Center head, along with the PSWDDO staff, also joined the distribution activity conducted last August 22-23, 2022. PIO-LDN
