TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, through the Provincial Veterinary Office, led the distribution program of free-range chicken dispersal and duck production project to MILF communities in Munai and Tangcal on August 30, 2022.
 
“This is in support of the Harmonization of the MILF Camp Transformation Plans to Local Development Plans in conflict-affected and conflict-vulnerable communities taken under the 5% Gender and Development (GAD) fund of the province,” Ruth Rudinas, PGLDN GAD Focal Person, said on behalf of Governor Imelda ‘Anggigng’ Dela Cruz Quibranza

Camp Bilal and 127 Base Command in the municipality of Munai and 125 Base Command in the municipality of Tangcal received a total of 250 female chickens, 25 male chickens, 300 female ducks, and 30 drakes, with feeds and vitamins.
 
Along with the team is the Philippine Army, represented by LtCol Marlon Famoso, Commander of the 4th Mechanized Battalion, Pakigdait Inc., and Department of Interior and Local Government Provincial Director Bruce Colao.
 
PD Colao, in his speech, commended the efforts of the Provincial Government in establishing rapport among the MILF communities, and said, “Ito po ay simbolo ng pakikipag-dait, pakikipag-kaibigan, pakikipag-partner ng PGLDN dito po inyong base command, and it is also a symbol of friendship para tayong lahat po, we will be united na mag merge patungong kalilintad, patungog peace and development.”
 
Cyril Cane, the Free-Range Coordinator of the PVO, also oriented the MILF members on the ways to effectively raise the chickens and ducks, saying, “Dili namo mahasol kung unsaon pagbuhi ning native chicken and ducks kay among gihatag kay purely ready to lay and breedable na. Ang sunod namo na ihatag for the next project kay mga incubators para inig produce nila og itlog,”
