TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – Some 600 Grade 7-12 indigent students received educational assistance from the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, implemented by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
In a distribution activity last Thursday and Friday, August 25-26, 2022, assistance worth a total of P2,100,000 was distributed to these 600 chosen indigent and non-4Ps beneficiary students from 10 schools in the province, giving them P3,500 each.
 
Annabelle Mendez, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, said, “Sa DSWD, ang elementary students makadawat og P1,000, ang junior high kay P2,000, ug ang senior high kay 3,000. Pero atoa diri sa Provincial Government, gilaras na nato na mahimong P3,500 kay kabalo mi na daghan mong gikinahanglan na mga school supplies og miscellanious fees”.
 
Students and parents expressed their thanks to Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Dela Cruz Quibranza and former Provincial Administrator and now Congresswoman Sittie Aminah Dimaporo for their efforts and pushing through with this program, saying that the monetary assistance can greatly help them in their Balik Eskwela needs.
 
Parent-Teacher Association president, Jerson Curay from Bansarvil, Kapatagan, in his message, said, “Dako kaayo among pasalamat na naapil ang mga studyante sa Bansarvil National High School as beneficiaries ani na programa.”
“Kaning kwartaha namo makatabang gyudni sa amongpalaliton dayon maka tabang gyud ni sa mga studyante na maningkamot sa pag skwela. Unta daghan pang mga kabataan ang maka avail ani na assistance,” Selda Dominguez, a Grade 12 student from Dalama Integrated High School, said in her response speech.
 
The ten beneficiary schools were Geronima Cabrera National High School, Mukas National High School, Rufo Integrated High School, Pgcarangan Integrated High School, Teofila C. Quibranza National High School, Arsenio A. Quibranza National High School, Diosdado Yap National High School, Bansarvil National High School, and Placida Miquiabas National High School. PIO-LDN
