TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – In order to make the implementation of Universal Health Care effective and efficient in the province, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) led the review, updating, and revision of the 2023-2025 Local Investment Plan for Health (LIPH) and the 2023 Annual Operational Plan (AOP) on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Riana’s, MCC, Tubod town.
 
Dr. Jennifer Lee, Rural Health Physician, presided over the meeting attended by the department heads, chiefs of hospitals, and Board Member Maria Christina Atay, Chairman of the Committee on Health.
 
“The LIPH will provide us with strategic direction for the next three years in terms of improving health service delivery in our province, and the cooperation of concerned offices would be vital towards a smooth flow of operations,” Dr. Lee said.
 
Additionally, Dr. Lee also discussed the contents of the AOP, which is the yearly translation of the LIPH, detailing the programs, plans, and activities (PPAs) and systems interventions that are to be implemented in province-wide health systems in 2023.
 
Towards the end of the said meeting, the PHO also provided the participants with prepaid wifis solely intended for the revisions of the LIPH.
 
In her closing remarks, BM Atay said, “As the chairman of the committee, I am honored to be part of the solution of delivering equitable healthcare services to the people of Lanao del Norte.” PIO-LDN
