TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The pioneering batch of Tubod College earned their diplomas as they walked down the aisle on their First Commencement Exercise on June 24, 2022.
 
Provincial Governor Imelda “Angging” Dela Cruz Quibranza graced the momentous event and personally conveyed her message to the successful graduates.
 
Governor Quibranza said, “Guided by the shared vision of having a local college in the capital town of this province and to pursue the goal of making every youth to be well-capacitated leaders in the future.”
 
“Mayor Leoncio Bagol, along with the Technical Working Group, successfully fought for the creation of this prestigious educational institution in the province that helps poor but deserving students to earn a career for life,” Governor Quibranza added.
 
Tubod College was founded on January 29, 2018, by virtue of Municipal Ordinance No. 258-2018. The operation started on June 18, 2018, under the administration of Mayor Bagol, which aimed to give underprivileged students a chance to earn a college degree with free tuition fees.
 
Mayor Bagol congratulated the graduates and said, “Change is the only constant thing in this world. Do not be afraid and continue to be more motivated to achieve your desired dreams. Make use of the opportunity, knowledge, and experience that Tubod College has given you”.
 
One hundred eighty-two (182) pioneering students hurdled their respective courses such as (1) Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, (2) Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, and (3) Bachelor of Science in Social Work.
 
The graduates were so emotional as they paid tribute to their dear parents, including the founder of Tubod College, Mayor Bagol. On behalf of the graduating class, Ms. Angelyn R. Candano of BS Entrepreneurship, the Class Valedictorian, delivered a genuine appreciation to all who made the event possible and remarkable for them. PIO-LDN
