TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, along with its officials, heads, and employees, commemorated the 63rd Araw ng Lanao del Norte in simple yet meaningful rites on Monday, July 4, 2022.
As a gesture and manifestation of love for the country and the province, Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Dela Cruz Quibranza earlier today led the flag-raising ceremony, followed by the hearty singing of the Lanao del Norte in front of the Arsenio A Quibranza Building, Provincial Capitol Compound.
To give thanks to the Creator, a Holy Mass was then held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, attended by all Christian employees. Simultaneously, Muslim brothers and sisters prayed together in the lobby of the Provincial Capitol Building.
July 4, 2022, marks the 63rd Araw ng Lanao del Norte. During this very day, 63 years ago, the Province of Lanao was separated into two separate entities, Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte.
“Despite the still ongoing pandemic, I am glad that we are slowly going back to normal. For that, let us all congratulate ourselves and work harder for the people,” Governor Angging said.
Governor Angging also thanked everyone for the success of the events for the 63rd Araw ng Lanao del Norte that started last June 2, 2022, which included the Environment Day, Trade Fair, and the concert and Ilaw ng Lanao del Norte (fireworks display) that was enjoyed by thousands of locals from the 22 municipalities.
