TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) livelihood allocation for the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte worth Php 880,000 was distributed to the beneficiaries on June 14, 2022.
Along with Atty. Safralis Cabili, the DOLE-LDN Provincial Head, and Ms. Criste Perfecto, Supervising Labor Employment Officer, Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo personally graced the turnover ceremony held at the Pasalubong Center, Sagadan.
There are over 44 beneficiaries from different municipalities in the province who received a total of Php 20,000 worth of items/products that will be used for their desired proposed livelihood projects. The recipients were among those sectors of small-medium traders that were greatly affected by the crisis.
“I know that this is just a small amount for you to fully recover your gains, but I hope that you will make use of it as if it was lent to you. Make it grow even better to uphold the lives of your families”, Governor Dimaporo reiterated. As a businesswoman, the Chief Executive also genuinely shared her life experiences with the recipients to motivate them to invest and even work harder.
One of the recipients, Mr. Edgardo Liboon, expressed his heartfelt thanks and said, “We are deeply grateful to all who made this program possible, especially to DOLE and Governor Angging, this is a great help for us”.
On behalf of DOLE, Atty Cabili conveys his thanks for the active and continued partnership of the PGLDN in the implementation of DOLE’s projects and activities. The DOLE Provincial head also appealed for the support of all beneficiaries to attain and sustain the core purpose of the project which is to enliven their lives and embrace development. Atty Cabili said, “this program is the result of the collaborative efforts of DOLE and PGLDN, with this, we are hoping that you will also take care of this because not everyone is given this kind of good opportunity”.
With constant coordination with the national line agencies like DOLE, Governor Dimaporo hopes to increase and expand the provision of livelihood assistance throughout the province. The distribution was facilitated by the LDN- Public Employment Service Office Designated Manager, Ms. Evelyn Lopez, and with its Accredited Co-Partner (ACP) from Paglingkawas Women’s Federation (PaWFed) led by its President Ms. Blenda Desierto.
