TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – To celebrate women and encourage them to support and learn from the tourism of Lanao del Norte, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Lanao del Norte invited all Barangay KALIPI Presidents for a three-day Provincial Educational Tour on June 8, 9, and 10.

KALIPI is a federation of women’s organization developed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development for the local government units to support and empower women.

Riding the two provincial buses and accompanied by the PSWDO staff and the members of the Provincial Gender and Development Technical Working Group, the KALIPI Women presidents were guided to some of the famous tourist destinations in the locality which includes the Longest Boardwalk located in Kauswagan, Jardin de Rachma ni Magsaysay and Cathedral Falls in Kapatagan.

“This tour is vital for, through this, the KALIPI Women presidents can exchange views/ideas among themselves and help each other determine what good practices can best be adopted in their respective area of influence, which is in the grassroots – the barangays,” Annabelle Mendez, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer said.
