TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office 2nd Quarter NSED successfully concluded the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at exactly 9:00 o’clock in the morning.

 

As the mass notification siren sounded, all employees from the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte performed the “duck, cover, and hold” protocol, as instructed by the PDRRMO staff. Some Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office likewise led the NSED in the different municipalities of the province.

 

This quarterly activity is organized by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), in partnership with other national line agencies, that seeks to heighten public awareness and educate the public on the importance of preparedness against hazards brought about by different types of disasters, especially during earthquakes.
