TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The Provincial School Board Council of this province recently convened on May 27, 2022, at the Provincial Governor’s Conference Room for its first meeting for the year 2022.
 
Chaired by the Provincial Chief Executive and the PSB Chairperson, Governor Imelda’ Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo, the council discussed updates and details on the Accomplishment/Utilization of Programs, Projects, and Activities under the Special Education Fund (SEF) of 2022.
 
Based on the data presented, many PPAs have already approved proposals, and only a few remain. Further, Engr. Anecita Lendio, Provincial Planning and Development Officer and the Secretariat head, also deliberate points and indicators of the Seal of Good Governance for sustainable education. During the recently conducted SGLG evaluation, the Provincial Government has attained four (4) substantial points over five (5).
 
This was greatly appreciated by the council, which had agreed to conduct a meeting every month to further monitor the projects being implemented.
 
Schools Division Superintendent Edilberto Oplena expressed his genuine appreciation for the continuous provision of the Provincial Government led by Governor Dimaporo towards their goal of giving quality, equitable and accessible education for all.
 
“We are very grateful for all your help. In return, we will do our duties and responsibilities to further develop and strengthen our education sector in our province”, SDS Oplenaria said
 
SDS Oplenaria also pointed out that despite the alterations of learning modalities, the number of registered students in the province is still increasing, and it has reached almost 160,000. DepEd Lanao del Norte recently won 23 awards out of 36 categories in the DepEd Region X Contest.
 
Governor Dimaporo extends her felicitations and delightfulness to the awards attained by the Division which gave honor to the province. Congressman Abdullah Dimakuta Dimaporo of the 2nd District also shared his views on developing the education of every student and said, “As mentors of children, educators need to consider imparting virtues, good moral character for their holistic development, especially in this modern days”, Cong Dimaporo added. During the meeting, Governor Dimaporo also proposed to allow for the MADRASAH Education Program for the comprehensive education of Muslim learners.
 
At the end of the meeting, Governor Dimaporo and Cong Abdullah Dimaporo led the turnover of equipment, materials, and supplies to the DepEd. That includes reading kits (Level 1 & 2), Robotics (170), tablets(24), laptops (6), android phones (7), projectors (3), sound system with microphone (3), SD Card (10), external drives (23), Printer (17), ink, bond papers, inverter welding machine (35), scientific calculators (6), an archery set, arrows, and fletch site.
Governor Dimaporo fervently hopes that this equipment will be used well and will help them carry on with their respective duties and responsibilities as mentors of our youths. PIO-LDN
