In celebration of the National Heritage Month, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, through the Provincial Tourism Office, took the initiative to conduct a province-wide Mural Competition activity on May 23-27, 2022.
With the theme “Pamanang Lokal: Binhi ng Kulturang Pilipino”, the said event highlights the importance of preserving and promoting local heritage within the community and its impact on shaping the Filipino cultural identity.
Following the criteria for judging – Quality of Artistic Composition (40%), Creativity and Visual Impact ( 40%), and Neatness and Present (20%), nine (9) entries were submitted from the municipalities of Tagoloan, Maigo, Tubod, Magsaysay, Baroy, Sapad, Kapatagan, Salvador, and SND.
The winners of the said mural contest were based on the decision of the jurors and the number of heart reactions on the official Facebook page of the Tourism Office – Discover Lanao del Norte PH, and on June 1, 2022, the winners were announced as follows:
1ST PRIZE – P30,000 cash and TrophyMunicipality of Sultan Naga Dimaporo
