This program of the DILG is under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) where two (2) of the FRs, alias “Dot-Dot” and “Harold”, received Immediate and Livelihood Assistance worth P 65,00.00 each, and the other, alias “Alas”, was granted his Firearms Remuneration worth P 90,00.00 upon a thorough examination and cost evaluation of the PNP.

“The Provincial Government headed by Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo expressed sincere gratitude to DILG, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Army (PA) for the active implementation of the ECLIP in our province. I would also like to appreciate these three former rebels in entrusting their lives to the Government,” Hon. Achmad Taha, head of the Peace and Order Committee of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, said during his welcome message.

Provincial Director Bruce A. Colao, CESO V, shared that “The ECLIP is seen to play a pivotal role in the attainment of the desire of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the aspiration of the Filipino people to end the local communist armed conflict that has caused so much sufferings.”

Moreover, Brigade General Rey B. Alemania, in his address to the former rebels, explained that their availment of the ECLIP was made possible by the President’s issuance of Executive Order No. 70, whereby the government is involved in attaining lasting peace by ending the 52-year-old communist insurgency.

“The Government helped you to experience a beautiful and peaceful life. This is living proof that executive orders are not written for nothing but rather, their purpose was put into application. I hope that you can encourage your other colleagues to return to the folds of the law,” PCol. Salman M. Saad motivated the former rebels during the activity.

“Ang natagamtaman namo karon sa pagbalik sa sabakan sa gobyerno kay sukwahi sa among dulom og lisod na kinabuhi sa bukid. Nagpasalamat kami sa gobyerno og sa nagkandaiyang ahensya ilalom sa E-CLIP, diin gihatagan kami og hamugaway na kinabuhi og walay puas na suporta,” Harold, one of the FRs said.
(What we enjoy now that we’re back in the bosom of the government is opposed to our dark and difficult life in the mountain. We are grateful to the government and the various agencies under E-CLIP, which have given us a comfortable life and tireless support.)
The momentous event was also graced by the Commanding Officer of 2nd Mechanized Brigade PA, Colonel Julius C. Librada GSC (CAV) of 5th Mechanized Battalion PA, and Annabelle S. Mendez, head of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO). PIO-LDN
