TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – In partnership with Smart Communications Inc., the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte turned over LTE pocket wifis to 30 selected schools in Lanao del Norte.
Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo, along with Sittie Aminah Quibranza Dimaporo, former Provincial Administrator, led the distribution in the presence of Rose Marie Macesar, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, and Maria Eva Edon, Chief Education Program Supervisor.
“Now that some of the schools are opening face-to-face classes, it is still important for educators to have access to stable internet connection. We made sure to choose the remote areas with signal to be our recipients,” Ms. Aminah said.
Governor Dimaporo thanked SMART Communications for the timely and significant donations given last January 27 and never failed to remind all DepEd personnel of the importance of vaccination against COVID-19.
ASDS Macesar, in her speech, thanked Gov. Dimaporo and Ms. Aminah for the pocket wifis and said, “We will make sure that these gadgets will be put into good use, strictly work-related only.”
“As of March one, there are a total of 5,746 teaching and non-teaching staff, and 5,571 or 96.97% are now fully vaccinated,” Macesar added.
The turnover was held at the Arsenio A Quibranza Building lobby, Provincial Capitol, Pigcarangan, Tubod, on Friday, March 11, 2022. PIO-LDN
