TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – As part of the celebration of Women’s Month, department heads and staff of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte (PGLDN) planted a total of 420 pink trumpet trees at Kakai Renabor, Tubod, situated at the foot of Mt. Torong-Torong.

The PGLDN, through the leadership of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo, recognizes the significant role of women in the development of society, particularly in the protection and the preservation of the environment.

In partnership with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), at 7:00 o’clock in the morning of March 8, 2022, all PGLDN personnel proceeded to plant their trees on the pre-dug holes. Also present during the activity were the PNP and some DepEd staff.

“Every tree planted today can help a lot in our program for the protection of our environment. Years from now, we will see pink trumpets in full bloom at the foot of Torong-Torong,” Ramon Serapio, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer, said. PIO-LDN
