TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The hinterland village of Mentring in Maigo, Lanao del Norte province was a recipient of Ten(10) solar street lights from the Provincial Government facilitated by the Provincial Engineering Office , Provincial General Services Office and Provincial Community Affairs Office (PCAO) represented by Apolonio Bacalares . Razil Galo, Barangay Mentring Chairman received the solar street lights and construction materials to include cement, sand, gravel, steel bars, solar panels, wires, poles while the barangay committed to shoulder the labor cost.
 
Galo said” sa ngalan sa katawahan , dako kaayo among pasalamat kang Gov. Angging Dimaporo sa tabang aron mo hayag na ang among kadalanan panahon sa kagabhi-on.” (in behalf of the the residents of Mentring, we expressed our foremost thanks and gratitude to Gov. Angging Dimaporo for extending the solar lights project to light up our streets at night.)
 
Through the “Kabarangayan Segurado” Program of the province , the solar lights was requested by Sangguniang Bayan Member Elbert ‘El El’ Pomicpic Mejorada and was duly approved by Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza Dimaporo for immediate implementation.
 
Governor Dimaporo said “the dark hours of Mentring is over.” The solar street lights project is a vital development component of peace and order initiatives where residents will feel safe and secure specially during night time.”
“I urge the people of Mentering to take care the solar street lights . This is where your taxes go.” Governor Dimaporo said.
 
The village of Mentring about 5 kilometers Southwest from the national highway of Maigo is the first recipient of the solar street light project supported by the Provincial Government. PIO-LDN
