Through the initiative of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ QUibranza-Dimaporo, 133 children from Babalaya, Bacolod benefit from the Mass Feeding and Tsinelas Giving of the Provincial Cooperative Office headed by Ms. Minda Regis.
This is in celebration of the National Cooperative Month that carries the theme, “Kooperatibang Matatag: Tumutugon sa mga Hamon, Daan sa Pagbangon, Nagbibigay Pag-asa sa Makabagong Panahon!”
In partnership with the Innerwheel Club, Bacolod Local Government Unit Employees Credit Cooperative, and Demologan Cooperative, the one-day program was a success that effectively brought smiles to the children’s faces.
“The pandemic gives us more reason to reach out to the community. The spirit of cooperativism shines through amidst the darkness of poverty and social inequities at the time of the pandemic,” Ms. Mina said.
Present during the activity were the club members of Demologan Coop headed by Mr. Raleigh Sumobay, BLGU Employees Credit Coop headed by Ms. Jessica Marcira, Innerwheel Club members, and the PCO staff. PIO-LDN
