In pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 493, series of 2003, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte celebrates Cooperative Month every October. With the theme “KOOPERATIBANG MATATAG: Tumutugon sa mga Hamon, Daan sa Pagbangon, Nagbibigay Pag-asa sa Makabagong Panahon,” the PGLDN through the Provincial Cooperative Office (PCO) launched various activities that commemorate the importance of Cooperatives in the province.

Following the Coastal Cleanup and Mangrove Planting held at Pikalawag SND on October 4 and Mass Feeding Program at Baroy on October 8, the PCO also successfully organized a Fun Walk and Mountain Trekking on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Mahayahay, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte.

The said activity was organized and facilitated by Kapatagan Municipal Cooperative Office, PCO personnel, and La Libertad Cooperative.

Ms. Minda Regis, the Provincial Cooperative Officer, is thankful for the support from the Provincial Government headed by Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo, who is continuously thinking of ways to help the cooperatives in the province.

“We have more activities in store for this month of October. We are not only planning to help our cooperatives, but we also want to give back to the community, especially those who are heavily affected by the pandemic, and we are hoping for the success of these activities,” Ms. Regis said. PIO-LDN
