October 7, 2021. To address the needs in our education sector, Provincial Governor Imelda Quibranza Dimaporo led the Turnover of Cash assistance to the Department of Education – Division of Lanao del Norte represented by Dr. Rosemarie T. Macesar, the Assistance Schools Division Superintendent along with their Treasurer, Ms. Mariam Mapandi, on behalf of Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Edilberto L. Oplenaria. The meeting was held at the Governor’s Conference Room, Gov. Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center, Pigcarangan, Tubod.
The turnover cash is from the Special Education Fund 2021 worth over Php 4.8 M that will be applied for the repair and maintenance of School Buildings, Facilities, and Titling of 10 identified Schools.
As a support for the teaching and non-teaching personnel of DepEd and with the help and provision of the two active Congressmen, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Dimaporo of the 1st District and Congressman Abdullah Dimakuta Dimaporo of the 2nd District, Governor Angging assures the all-out support of the PGLDN to the agency’s campaign in giving quality education and conducive learning environment for all students.
“With this amount, we hope that this will greatly contribute as you continue to provide efficient service to our youths. It is very crucial to prepare and maintain our facilities for us to have something to use when the face-to-face classes resume”, Governor Angging said.
As a mother of the province, Governor Angging recognizes the difference between learning interactively in school from learning merely at home with the gadgets, especially to those who were deprived of equipment and resources. Thus, the Provincial Chief Executive sees the need to provide devices and tools for the students to cope in this virtual reality so that there will be no student that will be left behind, especially in these trying times.
In her message, ASDS Dr. Macesar expressed her sincerest gratitude for the constant support of PGLDN and Gov. Angging to the Division of Lanao del Norte throughout the years. Despite the crisis and the alterations made in line with our education system, PGLDN continued to assist DepEd as their strong development partner. For the past months, the DepEd Division of Lanao del Norte has successively received awards from various regional and national contests, recognizes their exemplary actions in this virtual reality.
“We are very much grateful for all your support, so as a return, we assure to give out our best at all times as we fulfill our shared goal for the benefit of all people, especially in providing quality education,” Dr. Macesar added.
Cong. Abdullah of the 2nd District and Board Member Marivic Ramos were also present in the meeting. Cong Abdullah deliberately highlighted the importance of education, particularly in this modern times.
“Peace is just temporary if people will still live in poverty. Through quality education, we can improve the lives of the people and be more productive and creative agents in promoting sustainable development for our province”, Cong. Abdullah said. PIO-LDN
