Through the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte conducts a two-day Virtual Formulation Workshop from September 21 – 22, 2021, for the Annual Investment Program for the year 2022. Led by the Provincial Administrator Ms. Sittie Aminah Q. Dimaporo, the meeting was attended by different Heads of Offices, Division Chiefs, Economic Managers, and Chief of Hospitals.

Before the workshop started, various inputs were presented, such as the 2022 Projected Income/Sources of Financing and Projected Investible Funds and the Guidelines on the Appropriation and Utilization of the 20% Dev’t, fund & Additional Guidelines, LDRRM Fund.

To further enlighten everyone regarding the implementation of the Mandanas Ruling in 2022, the Devolution and the Status of the Devolution Transition Plan were also presented and included in the activity.

The workshop was organized to prepare the list for the Projects/Programs/Activities for all the Departments in the Provincial Government for the year 2022. In her opening message, Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo expresses her genuine appreciation for the active participation of all concerned departments. Governor Angging also deliberately reminds everyone of the importance of allocating the budgets for recovery programs to assist the community in regaining the lives from the lingering effects of the pandemic.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances brought by the COVID 19, we need to allot different recovery programs for us to prepare and manage the needs of our province, especially the farmers, since we still don’t know when this crisis will end.” Governor Angging said.

As of September 22, different Departments were able to update and present their indicative PPAs. These are still under review for further consideration and approval by Governor Angging.

Ms. Aminah appeals for the immediate action of all the department and division heads for their outputs. Like Governor Angging, she also highlighted the inevitability of focusing on rehabilitation programs as we continuously adapt to this new norm.

“To avoid any last-minute hassles, you need to submit all the required documents on time and ensure that these are all standardized to direct us, as we undertake what we need to accomplish for the province by the next year,” Ms. Aminah added. PIO-LDN
