Though the Provincial Administrator’s Office spearheaded by Provincial Administrator Sittie Aminah Quibranza Dimaporo, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte conducted the first virtual Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting for the year 2021 via zoom on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
The agenda of the meeting was the presentation of the review and status of the Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR) of each department, update of the vaccination rollout, and situational report of COVID19 cases and Incident Management Team (IMT) Operations and Activity.
Ms. Aminah, on behalf of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo, carefully listened to the presentations of the PGLDN Department Heads on the updates and accomplishments from January to August 2021 and gave thorough feedback and suggestions to each presentors.
As of September 14, 2021, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (PDRRMO) and IMT Emergency Operation Center Management Officer Ms. Abeliza Manzano reported 470 active cases in the province. She also announced the extension of the implementation of the interim health protocols in the entire province embodied under Executive Order No. 21, Series of 2021, until September 30.
Furthermore, Dr. Charmaine Canopin of the Provincial Health Office presented the status of the Provincial Vaccination Program. As of September 11, 2021, 84% of the population remained unvaccinated; 9% or 81,277 received their first dose, and 7% or 56,836 were fully vaccinated. She also raised a concern with regards to the issuance of fake vaccination cards, low vaccination uptake, and unorganized queuing in vaccination sites.
“All responsible persons must find ways to catch those with fake vaccination cards… Let us keep gathering more ideas to accelerate our vaccination program,” Ms. Aminah said.
The Provincial Administrator encouraged the department and division heads to perform well in their perspective tasks to help the Governor give better service to the people of Lanao del Norte. She also highlighted in her closing remarks that all employees of the PGLDN must be in the frontline and must be good role models by getting their shot of the vaccine.
“You must submit to me the list of unvaccinated employees. Now that we are catering to the A4 and A5 vaccination priority groups, there is no reason for us not to get vaccinated,” the Administrator added. PIO-LDN
