In collaboration with the Provincial Police Office, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, on August 25, 2021, settled a family feud or Rido, which lasted for more than two decades, of the Alibaser A. Alilang and Muslimen Macadatar Family held at HQs Camp Major Eduardo J Gallego, Pigcarangan, Tubod.
The Rido Settlement was officiated by Aleem Noska Abdulrahman, the Provincial Consultant of Rido/Conflict, and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board member and Chairman on Committee on Family Feud (Rido) Settlement, Hon. Acmad Taha.
The event would be possible had it not been with the help of the PGLDNs esteemed partners: Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office led by Provincial Director PCOL Isaias A. Bacurnay Jr., represented by PLTCOL Mauro P. Guray, DPDA, 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade led by Bde Commander COL Rey B Alemania, and Nunungan Municipal Mayor Hon. Marcos M. Mamay who also attended to witness the momentous event.
Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo is pleased that finally, after more than 2 decades of dispute, the family Alilang and Macadatar agreed to put an end to their misunderstanding by signing the Covenant of Peace and Reconciliation and praying hand in hand holding the holy Qur’an.
Also present to witness the settlement were Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Hon. Allan J. Lim, Picong, Lanao del Sure former Mayor Alinader Balindong, Pualas, lanao del Sure former Mayor Engr. Cabib A. Tanog, Muslim elders, Municipal and Brgy. Officials of Nunungan, LDN, and media practitioners.
