The Regional Director of DepEd X, Dr. Arturo Bayocot, mentioned in his message that due to the Covid-19 situation, this year’s Brigada Eskwela should ensure support for the provision of learning opportunities while continuously following standard health protocol for the safety and protection of the learners, teachers, and personnel. Aside from Governor Angging, the Local Chief Executives, PNP, AFP, and many personalities from NGOs also gave support to the said program. As a form of Brigada Eskwela, Brigada Pagbasa is a program that envisions to intensify the partnership of the DepEd across all sectors of the society to help the learners read and become functionally literate in all aspects.
Governor Angging deliberately appeals for the support and open-mindedness of everyone as the COVID-19 cases in the province are increasing.
“As we continue our lives in this new norm and anticipate a challenging school year ahead, let’s remain steadfast. Let us not allow the virus to stop the dreams of our children while at the same time ensuring the safety of our families. In today’s world, vigilance is very important. Together let us help each other and protect our beloved province, Lanao del Norte,” she added. PIO-LDN
