Through the Provincial Cooperative Office headed by Ms. Minda V. Regis, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte successfully carried out a one-day Strategic Planning Workshop for the LDN Consumer Cooperative Sector at the Macapagal Training Center, Pigcarangan, Tubod, on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

The purpose of the said workshop was to unite all cooperative sectors in the province and establish a federation that would represent each sector and act as officers and consolidators of their products and services. It is also a way for the PCO to let the different member cooperatives explore their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) to give them an understanding and get a clear and realistic view of their internal environment.

The SWOT analysis will help them identify ways to better satisfy their clients, achieve their objectives and strengthen weaker areas that impact the organization’s overall performance. In this method, the PCO staff can also help the participants formulate plans and future programs for each sector.

The participants were thankful to the PCO and PGLDN led by Governor Imelda ‘Agging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo for the opportunity that was given to them and for actively supporting all the cooperatives in the province in their endeavors, especially during this time of the pandemic.

“This is only the first batch of cooperatives as we will also cater to different sectors for the month of August,” Ms. Regis said.

On August 10, the next batch of cooperatives will be those belonging to the Transport, Water Service Cooperatives, and Indigenous Group. PIO-LDN
