The Department of Labor and Employment X disbursed a ‘Bigasan Package’ worth of Php 20,000 each as livelihood assistance for 24 selected beneficiaries from the different municipalities of the province under the DOLE Kabuhayan Program initiated by 2nd District Representative Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo.

 

The distribution of the Bigasan Package was held at the NCMC Gymnasium, Maranding, Lala and was distributed by the Provincial Community Affairs Office headed by Mr. Lyndon G. Calica.

 

The program recipients were those whose livelihoods are adversely affected due to community quarantine measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 infections – six (6) recipients from Bacolod, five (5) from Lala, six (6) from SND, three (3) from Kolambugan, two (2) from Kapatagan, one (1) from Sapad and one (1) from Linamon.

 

Congressman Abdullah sees the need to help those constituents who are working hard each day to provide for their families and are still in dire need of support. He also assured that the Provincial Government would offer more livelihood projects with the help of the DOLE and other national line agencies. PIO-LDN
