July 5-6, 2021. People from the different barangays of the Municipality of Baroy on Monday and Tuesday lined up to get their first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Following the priority list of A1, A2, and A3, the Department of Health (DOH), with the assistance of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and Baroy Rural Health Unit (RHU), inoculated a total of 264 residents for 1st dose and 135 for 2nd dose of Sinovac.
“Nagpa vaccine ko kay para naa koy dugang na proteksyon sa virus… Nagpa vaccine ko para sa akong pamilya,” one of the vaccinated elderly woman said.
The priority list for COVID-19 immunization includes medical workers, the elderly and people with co-morbidities – medical conditions that make them more susceptible to infection and severe diseases.
Governor Angging is constantly reminding the constituents to always be mindful in observing COVID-19 related protocols and urged everyone to receive the vaccine because she does not want to risk anyone catching the virus.
“We are fast-tracking our vaccination program and giving our full efforts in order to serve and protect the people of Lanao del Norte. As long as supplies are available, more residents will be catered,” Provincial Health Officer Dr. Marujeta Isabel Opamen said. PIO-LDN
