Through the leadership of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte organized a relief operation to the municipalities of Tubod and Baroy, specifically to the barangays affected by the imposed lockdown due to the rapid spread of COVID-19.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by Ms. Annabelle S. Mendez, initiated the distribution of relief goods right into the doorsteps of each household in barangay Malingao and Poblacion, Tubod; barangay Poblacion, Baroy; and the Baptist Church in Maranding, Lala.
A total of 5,363 families received 10 kilos of rice and 10 canned goods from the PSWDO and thanked the Provincial Government for the immediate response and for extending the much-needed food assistance.
Governor Angging sees the importance for the PGLDN to respond by giving relief goods to the residents that are heavily affected by the lockdown to help each LGUs provide their essential goods for them to stay at home and prevent the spread of the virus.
Furthermore, Governor Angging and all the Municipal Mayors appeal to all the constituents to thoroughly follow the standard health protocols set by the DOH and avoid social gatherings and crowded places as much as possible to protect each one from the threat posed by the unseen enemy. PIO-LDN
