In line with the Presidential Proclamation 469, declaring the month of April of every year as the National Filipino Food Month celebration, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, through the Provincial Tourism Office, in partnership with the League of Local Tourism Officers and Local producers, successfully conducted a 2-day TABO SA LANORTE on April 24-25, 2021, at TBCC, San Antonio, Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

“Tabo sa LaNorte” is an activity that aims to provide support to local producers, farmers, and agri-communities in reaching a broader market, showcase and promote patronage of their own local produce, and boost the Lanao del Norte’s culinary traditions and treasures as part of the nation’s rich cultural heritage.
Customers were delighted with the activity, for aside from the affordable prices (original price from the producers)of the products, they got to know more about Lanao del Norte and what makes our province a ‘Land of Beauty and Bounty.’

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the producers from the different association, cooperatives, and private individuals expressed their gratitude to the Provincial Governor, Gov. Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo, for the support that was given to them to sustain their livelihood and even made their products available at the Pasalubong Center along National Highway, Sagadan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

On behalf of Gov. Angging, Ms. Alerma Grace Yorong-Montañez, Provincial Tourism Officer, would like to thank all the LGUs thru the Municipal Mayors for the support of this event, especially to the LGU-Tubod headed by Mayor Leoncio Bagol, for the assistance and allowing the team to use a space in the TBCC San Antonio, Tubod, Lanao del Norte as a venue to hold the said activity.

“To all the customers who purchased our local products. May this be the start of a ‘Be Proud, Tatak LaNorte:Tangkilikin ang Sariling Atin first’ advocacy to every Lanaoans,” Ms. Montañez said. PIO-LDN
