The CEO of Namkwang Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd, Mr. Kim Keun Young together with the team from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) led by Mr. Miguel P. Ramos, the Project Manager, paid a visit to Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo to discuss concerns and updates regarding the Panguil Bay Bridge Project.
In the meeting, Governor Angging respectfully raised some thoughts regarding the ongoing PBB project. As Governor Angging deliberates her view with the group, she clarified that this is a very important project for it is a long-standing dream of all people in the province. Moreover, Governor Angging humbly asked for the genuine cooperation of the Korean contractors as the PGLDN, LGUs and all the people of Lanao del Norte seek updates for further alterations about the project.
“Our eyes are in this project, we want to be enlightened in this development. We are also requesting to let our people be part of this project. Correspondingly, we should work hand in hand for this. Just like building a house, it should have a strong foundation with harmonious relationships within each other so that it will run smoothly according to plan. With good communication and collaboration we can move mountains”, Governor Angging added.
On the other hand, Mr. Kim Keun Young, Namkwang’s CEO, assures Governor Angging of their immediate actions regarding the delays and promise regular updates to ensure the upright development of the PBB project.
As part of the ongoing project, the meeting was also attended by Project Manager Mr. Youn Tae Sik, structural Resident Engineer Yang Jong Ho, Project Inspector Abdul Mujib Mangata, Engr. Abdul Khalid Lomangcolob, Engr. Johnver Montilla and Engr. Juliet M. Amas of the Provincial Engineering Office and the focal person of the PBB project.
Everyone in the province is delighted and excited about the construction of the Panguil Bay Bridge for after long decades of waiting this is soon to be realized through the help of President Rodrigo Duterte. The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte together with the two dynamic representatives, Cong. Mohamad Khalid Dimaporo of the 1st District and Cong. Abdullah Dimaporo of the 2nd District are all vocal and particular of any development concerning the venture of bridging the cultural differences and deepening the relationship of Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte.
