As the key representative of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo and as the Provincial Administrator Head of the Province of Lanao del Norte, Ms. Sittie Aminah Dimaporo attended the meeting with the Department of Health recently held at the Provincial Administrators Office. The meeting was conducted to discuss the Memorandum of Agreement regarding the construction of the two buildings that will be given by the Department of Health to the province of Lanao del Norte.
In order to increase and upgrade the capacity of existing public health facilities in the province, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte through the Department of Health will build a “Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility” Kapatagan and a “Dietary Facility” in Sultan Naga Dimaporo.
This Temporary Treatment and Monitoring building in Kapatagan will be purposely constructed to house asymptomatic and mild COVID- 19 confirmed cases. Moreover, this is going to be funded through the Bayahanihan Grant. On the other hand, the SND’s dietary Facility will be funded by the DOH with their Health Facility Enhancement Program and this shall offer different nutrition assistance to the people of Lanao del Norte to address problems concerning malnutrition and obesity.
As the end-user of these projects, the Chiefs of the two Provincial Hospitals, Dr. Remedios B. Fernandez of Kapatagan and Dr. Jasmine Pungginaguina of SND were present at the said conference together with the Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. Marujita Isabel Opamen. Moreover, present also in the meeting were Eng. Marietta Borillo of the Provincial Engineering Office and Engr. Eliezer Mallorca of DOH.
Driven by the same goal, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte and the Department of Health hope that these two projects will successfully be constructed sooner to sustain the health care system of the province and to provide conducive and effective service to the people of Lanao del Norte.
