To add color to the annual celebration, more than 100 household items and kitchen appliances were raffled off and distributed to the PGLDN employees after the regular flag raising ceremony. Prizes include cellphones, rice cookers, kettles, flat irons, ceiling fans, pillows, umbrellas, and baskets.
The COVID-19 pandemic posed both challenges and opportunities for women. Hence, this year’s observance highlights women’s participation in battling the pandemic as well as discussing gender issues exacerbated by the pandemic.

The Provincial Government felt that it is the time to delve deep into the gender issues that emerged or become more felt during the health crisis and aims to develop more programs for the women of Lanao del Norte.
