The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte under the leadership of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo with the Department of Public Works and Highways represented by Assistant District Engineer, Engr. Amron Mitmug together with the Regional Director of DAR 10, Dir. Zoraida Macadindang, formally turn over the Cabayugan Bridge to the Municipality of Sapad, Lanao del Norte.

Driven by the same interest, Governor Angging thanks the Department of Agrarian Reform for the accomplishment of the said project. Likewise, the active Governor also shares her happiness and pride of having a representative through Dir. Macadindang in the Department of Agrarian Reform. In this event, Governor Angging greatly shows her genuine appreciation for the persistence of the Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Sapad led by Mayor Asis to make this everyone’s dream come true.

In the success of this project, Governor Angging encourages also the LGU and the covered barangay to maintain cleanliness through proper waste disposal and plant trees along the coastline of the river. As Governor Angging reminisces their past experience with the river, she asks also for the cooperation of all the people in the area to be more responsible in taking good care of the project and with the environment.

Cabayugan Bridge is the longtime dream of the people of Sapad. It connects the Municipalities, such as the Municipality of Sapad and nearby barangays and/or sitios of Nunungan and Salvador. This is the longest MinSAAD bridge project in the region. The construction of this bridge gives easy access for the people to easily transport their products to nearby places. Thus, the Municipality of Sapad were very grateful for the initiative of the Department of Agrarian Reform and the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte for their continuous support in the development of their municipality that significantly helps their constituents to grow and continue to strive despite the health crisis.

The Mindanao Sustainable Agrarian and Agriculture Development (MinSAAD) Project Manager, Mr. Eduardo E. Suaybaguio, Mayor Paruk Asis of the Municipality of Sapad, and Board Member Achamad Taha were also present in the ceremony held at the project Site, Poblacion, Sapad.
