Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo convened with the Department of Agriculture as they turn over the agricultural machineries’ to the Farmer’s Coop and Association of Lanao del Norte. This remarkable ceremony was attended by several key officials from the Department of Agriculture led by Undersecretary for Regulations Engr. Zamzamin L. Ampatuan accompanied by DA-RFO10 Regional Executive Director, Mr.Carlene C. Collado. In the said activity Governor Angging expressed her genuine gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Cynthia Villar, the Agriculture Committee Chairperson through the Department of Agriculture and Philmech also, for their endless support for the development of the economy particularly in increasing rice production in the country.
 
Governor Angging prompted the value of enriching our farmlands for it to progress and prosper for future needs. “I am very much happy that our province was given this opportunity of having those new types of machinery for us to upgrade our farming process. I want to urge our farmers including our Municipal Mayors to use these tools wisely with extra care for these are entrusted to us. ‘ Governor Angging added.
 
Moreover, the Director IV of PHilMech Mr. Baldwin G. Jallorina formally attended also the program wherein he encourages everyone to be more responsible in using the following equipment. According to the director, for the year 2019-2020, there are more than 18 million projects are allocated for the province of Lanao del Norte hence he assured everyone also that in this year 2021, with the help of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte through Governor Angging and with the LGU’s, they can successfully implement more projects in the province. Usec. Ampatuan highlighted the importance of these machines in the aspect of our agriculture. Ideally, these types of machines will help the province to increase our rice production making it easier also for the farmers. Usec. Amapatuan also enlivens the spirit of our farmers to encourage the young generation into agriculture.
 
The Agri-Machineries and Technologies turned over were; 24 Four-wheeled Tractors, 11 Hand Tractors, 13 Floating Tiller, 15 Walk-behind Transplanter, 2 Riding-type Transplanter, 2 Reapers, 18 Rice Combines, 3 Axial Flow Thresher with Pneumatic Tires, and 13 Mobile Rice Mills. The beneficiaries of those equipment are the farmer associations coming from the ten (10) municipalities namely; Lala, Baroy, Tubod, Salvador, Sapad, Maigo, Balo-I, Munai, SND, and Kapatagan. To formally received the mechenaries equipment, Mayor Angel Yap of Lala, Mayor Rosa Olaffson of Baroy, Mayor Leoncio Bagol of Tubod, Mayor Racma Andamama of Munai and Mayor Ina Louise Miflores of Maigo joined also the turn-over ceremony held at the Municipal Gym of Lala, Lanao del Norte.
