Through the initiative of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte headed by Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo, 887 beneficiaries from different municipalities of Lanao del Norte received their wages under DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program.
 
TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 to 16 days.
Governor Angging expressed her gratitude to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, specially to Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, and Senator Joel Villanueva and Bro. Eddie Villanueva of Citizen’s Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) Partylist for allocating funds for the TUPAD Program of the DOLE.
 
The TUPAD payout was facilitated by PGLDN-PESO (Public Employment Service Office) manager Evelyn Lopez, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Ms. Annabelle S. Mendez, and the Provincial Treasurers Office headed by Mildred J. Hingco, and was held at the Multi-Purpose Gym, Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center compound, Pigcarangan, Tubod Lanao del Norte, from February 8 to 11, 2021.
