The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte in partnership with Pailig Development Foundation Inc. (PDFI) and The Asia Foundation (TAF), spearheaded Farm Tourism Operators and Tourism Stakeholders Seminar-Workshop entitled “HARNESSING SOCIAL MEDIA TO EXPAND YOUR BUSINESS” held at the Macapagal Training Center, Pigcarangan, Tubod.
The said activity aims to provide Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) specifically farm tourism operators and tourism stakeholders, with tools and skills in order to create, access, and maximize their “business’ online presence”.
 
Present during the seminar were Sanguniang Panlalawigan Member Hon. Achmad Taha, Alerma Grace Yorong, the OIC-Provincial Tourism Officer, Nancy Karen S. Rojas, the Admin and Finance Manager of Pailig Development Foundation, Inc., Sheena May M. Maraon, the Project Development Officer I of the Provincial Cooperative Office, and the Tourism Receptionists of the Provincial Tourism Office, who shared various ideas on how to effectively participate in the digital economy and reach a wider market even during this time of pandemic.
 
“The use of various social media platforms is a powerful way of promoting businesses and the wonderful tourist destinations here in the Province of Lanao del Norte.” Ms. Yorong said.
