The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) under its Integrated Livelihood Emergency Program (DILEP) in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte lead by Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo successfully turned-over livelihood package for two (2) recipient organizations from Lanao Del Norte.
The Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) Manager Ms. Evelyn Lopez joined the turnover ceremony of two projects that Governor Angging initiated for the people of Lanao Del Norte. The said projects are the allocation of Governor Angging from DOLE and those are entrusted and implemented by the Paglingkawas Women’s Federation led by Ms. Blenda Disiyerto.
The Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) Manager Evelyn Lopez witnessed the first turnover in barangay Tambo, Munai with a project called as “MARANAO RESTO & SNACK INN”. It will be operated by the members of “KASASAREGA WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION” under the supervision of Paglingkawas Women’s Federation headed by Ms. Blenda Desierto.
The mission of this project is not just to help the members of the association but also to cater to and serve the needs of all the people in the municipality of Munai. The said project also aims to showcase the products of Lanao del Norte and also their municipality.
The DOLE Provincial OIC, Ms. Criste O. Perfecto, and Munai Municipal Mayor Hon. Racma Andamama also present in the event held at the Munai Municipal Hall.
After the successful event at the town of Munai, the PGLDN team proceeded to Tubaran Tubod for another turn-over of project. Board Member Reinario Bihag, Chairperson, of the Committee of Agriculture and Cooperative of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan was also present on the said program.
The project was entrusted to the Tubod Famer’s Association which is a group of farmers that started last October 2017 and accredited with DOLE in February 2018 which engaged in Mini Feed Mill production.
During the activity, Board Member Bihag extended his gratitude to Governor Angging for her support for the said program. He also reminded everyone to take good care of the equipment that DOLE and the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte under the administration of Governor Angging, entrusted to them.
The Provincial OIC of DOLE, Ms. Perfecto also emphasized the importance of these two activities not just for the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte but also for those beneficiaries of the projects that Governor Angging initiated. Furthermore, she also hopes that the project will grow and be successful in the future so that they can venture into something bigger.
The KASASAREGA Women’s Association, Tubod Farmer’s Association as well as the Paglingkawas Women’s Federation were very grateful to the utmost and unending support of Governor Angging. They promise to take good care of the projects and be more responsible for the trust that Governor Angging gave them. On the other hand, Governor Angging is still hopeful that these projects will help to reduce poverty in the province of Lanao del Norte and will serve as instruments to change many lives. PIO-LDN
